Inside Sales Job Description

Mosaic451 is looking for a talented and competitive Inside Sales Representative that can thrive in both quick and multilevel complex sales cycle environments. An inside sales rep will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.

You must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects, setting appointments for directs sales, participating in and preparing RFP responses, and closing sales.



  • Prospect and build a sales pipeline for the Outside Sales Managers via outbound calling, email communications, social media and other direct marketing methods
  • Develops sales opportunities within company determined area of interest; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing “RFP” responses and quotations.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements, Qualify all sales leads, and drive leads through the sales process by initiating face-to-face appointments with Outside Sales team
  • Follow up with Outside Sales Manager, post meeting. Determine result of respective meeting, and follow up appropriately to close the loop
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly phone and email communication goals in accordance with strategic plan, developed by the Director of Inside Sales
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory
  • Consistently log and record each-and-every outreach made, in CRM, producing regular activity reports as requested
  • Act as a bridge between Marketing and Sales. Be cognizant of each marketing initiative, and work toward corporate objectives
  • Team with the companies channel partners to build pipeline and close deals
  • Arrange to perform effective online sales calls and demos to prospects with the company’s technology partners
  • Personally motivated to close smaller deals independently
  • Close sales and achieve quarterly quotas


  • Proven inside sales experience-preferably security-technology sales experience
  • Track record of over-achieving quota
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
  • Experience working with or similar CRM
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
